Did you know that Louisiana Earth Day is one of the largest environmental festivals in the nation? The 2012 Earth Day Festival promises to be an exciting event! Bigger and better than ever, the Festival will be located for several blocks in downtown Baton Rouge along North Boulevard from the Old State Capitol grounds to the Old Governor's Mansion! Over 100 booths and displays will provide engaging, hands-on environmental activities! There is plenty of parking and a special gated lot for bicycles compliments of B.R.A.S.S.!

Louisiana Earth Day, Inc., a 501c3 non-profit organization, was founded in 1990 by a group of volunteers who wanted to have Baton Rouge celebrate the National Earth Day here in Baton Rouge. It was such a HUGE success that it became an annual event! Since that time the celebration of Earth Day in Baton Rouge has grown annually with new and exciting activities each year.
